Aeroprakt A22LS Foxbat Amphibian

The Foxbat Amphibian is truly a ‘go anywhere’ aircraft. Yes, you sacrifice a little load carrying and some cruise speed compared with the land Foxbats, but you can set off and explore all those lakes, bays, rivers and waterways you just cannot visit in a landplane. And you’ve still got wheels to land on a runway or paddock.

Imagine taking a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Lake Eyre and being able to land on the water! Or beaching the aircraft in a secluded cove for a little romantic sightseeing…. Or put out an anchor and sit on the float and fish to your heart’s content. Or you can pull up to a dock and hop out on to the float to tie-up.

The Foxbat Amphibian will genuinely take off in 150 metres of water and land the same. It will carry around 245-250 kilos including people, fuel and baggage (more than some LSA landplanes). It will cruise comfortably around 80 knots, using about 17-18 litres an hour.
