Foxbat prices held!

Prospective buyers of the Foxbat will be pleased to hear that the Aeroprakt factory has agreed to hold prices at July 2008 levels until at least the end of the year. This means you can still order and pay for an A22L Foxbat at Australian $97,500 inclusive of shipping, GST, radio etc - READY TO FLY!

You can also reserve a production slot for January 2009 production of the new A22LS Foxbat (MTOW 600 kgs) at the guaranteed launch price of Australian $115,000 inclusive of shipping, GST, radio etc READY TO FLY!

Unlike many of our competitors, we have been able to hold prices for the next few months based on careful management of the exchange rates and with support from the Aeroprakt factory, to whom we say a big thank you!

First VH-registered Foxbat in Australia

Congratulations to Brook Papworth and Max Cochrane on being the first Foxbat owners to register their aircraft via CASA on the VH-register. The dark blue Foxbat - VH-VLR, in recognition of its USA namesake, the Valor - arrived at Redcliffe late in October and will soon be ready for its first Australian flight. This Foxbat will also be our first Night VFR aircraft. When originally registered in USA, this same plane was in fact IFR certified under the ASTM Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) regulations. However, there is yet some clarification on Australian IFR standards for LSAs, so Brook and Max are waiting for a while until the details are clear.

Meanwhile, the aircraft is fitted with all the necessary night lights and a Garmin 430 radio.GPS as well as comprehensive Grand Rapids avionics. The aircraft will be based initially at Murwillumbah but will also be spending time closer to Max, who lives down the coast a bit at Nowra.

Fantastic Foxbat models available

We are pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with an Australian model maker to produce model A22L Foxbats. These are available in a range of colours to match your own aircraft. They come with a substantial wooden display stand and are a massive 45 centimetres in wingspan! These models are truly gorgeous and would make a fantastic present for a Foxbat owner. The Aeroprakt A22 Foxbat has quite a collection of videos on YouTube - in your favourite internet browser type in: http://www.youtube.com (or click this link) to get to the YouTube home page. Then key in 'Aeroprakt A22' in the search box. Make sure you have 'Search Videos' selected and click the search button. This will bring up a list and thumbnails of a variety of Foxbat videos uploaded by owners, distributors and flying schools. Click on the thumbnail for the video to load and play.
